Civil Liberties Fundraiser: Determined to protest for Palestine!

There are currently two major political trials going on in the Australian court system.

Firstly there are the 16 pro-Palestine protesters who are on trial for their participation in a demonstration against the Israeli owned Max Brenner chocolate shop. They are facing fines of tens of thousands of dollars for the ‘crime’ of ‘trespassing in a public place.’

The other is the Occupy trial – a case which is attempting to defend our legitimate right to public civil disobedience.

Students for Palestine brings you an evening of Pro-Palestinian messages of solidarity including a video contribution by Noam Chomsky.

We will be joined by a variety of Melbourne artists including (but not limited to)

Les Thomas: Melbourne folk musician
Ezekial Ox (of ex Mammal fame) musician
Santo Cazatti: spoken word artist
Rod Quantock: Left wing comedian
James Hazelden: Melbourne comedic folk musician
Owais and Faz: Hip- hop artists

Food and drink will be available at the venue.
